A few differences that I understand from Crtieo. Criteo still has a large amount of revenue from retargeting which uses third party cookies. Also, Criteo is trying to be a DSP for retail media network, which will be a great business if successful. DSPs are usually for new customer acquisitions, whereas Appier is more about customer retention which, in theory, leads to a higher LTV. Appier uses other mediums, such as emails, apps (push notifications) and social networks to communicate with the clients' customers.
